Eric Nelson is National Director of Strategic Partnerships for CHSS, helping connect schools and districts across the country with 9th grade success opportunities.
Over the last 25 years, Eric served students in 20 states as a teacher, principal, area superintendent, senior director, and leadership coach, primarily in urban areas. He’s visited over 300 schools and 1,000 classrooms hanging out with the most important people in the world…students and educators. A native of Wisconsin, Eric received his undergrad and master’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin and doctorate at the University of Washington in Educational Leadership.
Eric lives in New Orleans with his magnificently creative partner Chelsea and gifted (I know, everyone says that) daughters Aniyah and Audrey, where they like to play drums and trombone.
In 9th grade, Eric tried his best to dance like Bell Biv Devoe with a first-generation mullet.
